# Sona AI: The AI assistant that brings order to chaos

- Year: 2025
- Industry: AI & B2B
- Services: UX/UI design, Product design, Branding
- Result: Desktop, tablet and mobile, Brand identity
- Stage: Startup

## Input

Sona AI is a personal assistant for business leaders: chat, image generation, video chat, a code writer, a file editor and an answer engine in one product. The goal was to take operational chores off people's plates and give them time for strategic thinking, without the product itself turning into one more cluttered tool.

## Reasoning

Sona brings order to chaos, so the interface had to be calm first. One greeting, one input and the most recent actions on the home screen, with every tool one tap away in a side rail. Greetings are set in a serif, the working UI in a clean sans, and the mark is a set of dots gathering around a centre.

## Outcomes

Product design for desktop, tablet and mobile, the user flow for every tool, and a brand with logo, colours and typography. Figmatica ran it end to end, from design goals, competitor analysis and user research to wireframes, UI and usability testing.

## Design notes

- **Every tool one tap away.** Chat, images, video, code and files live in one narrow rail of icons. The work area stays empty until you need it, so switching tools never means leaving the conversation.
- **Add an image, then describe the shot.** Image generation works like the rest of the chat: a reference, a sentence, a result in the thread. No separate studio to learn, so creative work sits right next to the daily tasks.
- **Many points, one centre.** The mark is a cluster of dots drawn toward a single core, the same thing Sona does with scattered tools. Two colours, near black and warm light grey, keep it quiet next to the content it serves.
- **Canela for greetings, Satoshi for work.** Greetings and headlines are set in Canela, so the assistant sounds like a person. Lists, buttons and results use Satoshi, which stays legible at small sizes on a phone.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do you design an AI assistant app?

Start with the jobs people hand off, then keep the interface out of the way. For Sona AI we put one greeting, one input and recent actions on the home screen and moved chat, images, video, code and files into a single tool rail.

### How do you fit many AI tools into one product without clutter?

Map the user flow first. Sona AI has a finder, chat, image generation, video chat, a code writer, a file editor and an answer engine, all reached from one hub, so each tool feels like part of the same conversation.

### What does the UX process for an AI product look like?

For Sona AI Figmatica went through design goals, competitor analysis and user research, then two weeks of wireframes and concepts, eight weeks of UX/UI design and two weeks of usability testing and iteration. Research came first because natural language, safety and ease of use were the core goals. ### Should an AI assistant work on desktop, tablet and mobile?

If people use it for work, yes, because the tasks follow them between devices. Sona AI was designed for desktop, tablet and mobile, with the same greeting, input and tool set adapted to each screen.

### How do you brand an AI product so it feels human?

Give it a voice in type and restraint in colour. Sona AI pairs the Canela serif for greetings with Satoshi for the working UI, and its logo is a calm cluster of dots around one centre in near black and warm grey.
